If you follow me on the Insta or Twitter you may have noticed I (along with friends) were doing a bit of canning and pickling on the weekends. Pam has a peach tree in her yard and with an abundance of peaches this year she had more than enough to attempt canning. We were all a bit nervous at first, but truthfully it’s a sterile technique and a tried and true protocol. We’ve done trickier science before.
We canned peaches, peach salsa and peach butter. I was inspired when i got home to pickle some of my garden haul. Last weekend was tomatoes and a few beans. So i pickled the tomatoes.
These were super tasty and ended up going in a bean salad for an Independence day gathering i went to. The salad was quite a hit.
